THE CLIENT

Xfinity, Comcast’s wireless and home service brand, offers a broad range of services, from high-speed internet and cable to mobile solutions. With over 600 Xfinity stores and a presence in major retailers, Xfinity Mobile has become a key player in the wireless industry, helping Comcast achieve significant growth in its service bundling strategy.

THE REQUEST

Comcast/Xfinity sought T-ROC's expertise in two different capacities:

Store Operations:
T-ROC owned and operated 44 Xfinity Mobile retail locations across multiple states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, and Indiana. With over 400 employees dedicated to running these stores, T-ROC managed all aspects of store operations, from customer service and product demos to ensuring adherence to Xfinity's retail standards.
Walmart Partnership:
Xfinity also needed support as a 3PL partner in Walmart. T-ROC was tasked with selling Xfinity's WiFi and cable services at select Walmart locations within the electronics department. This program focused on cable and WiFi services to avoid conflicts with other wireless partners.

For Xfinity Retail Stores:

T-ROC managed all aspects of the 44 Xfinity stores, including:

Product Launches:
To coincide with Xfinity corporate initiatives.
In-Store Demos:
To promote mobile and bundled services, providing hands on support for customers.
Customer service and training:
Ensuring both T-ROC staff and Xfinity store teams maintained operational excellence.
Secret shopper programs:
To monitor and improve store appearance, performance, and learning opportunities.

For Walmart 3PL Program:

T-ROC worked with Xfinity to:

Promote WiFi and cable services
At select Walmart locations, with trained representatives placed in the electronics department.
Develop cross-promotional opportunities
Ensuring customers learned about Xfinity’s bundled services, increasing exposure and customer engagement.

Xfinity Retail Stores:
T-ROC’s expertise in store management and compliance led Comcast to recognize them as "best in class" for operational standards. Xfinity used many of T-ROC's compliance programs and procedures to optimize inventory and cash management across its partner network.
Walmart Partnership:
T-ROC's 3PL involvement in Walmart boosted awareness of Xfinity's WiFi and cable services in retail, leading to stronger customer engagement in this non-traditional sales channel.
