THE CLIENT

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) oversees brand management, licensing, and marketing for Pokémon, including the Pokémon Trading Card Game in territories outside Asia, including the U.S. and Europe.

THE REQUEST

Pokémon sought a strategic partner to scale their automated retail presence, planning an aggressive rollout of thousands of kiosks across the U.S. This ambitious task required supporting weekly merchandising for hundreds of kiosks, replenishing millions in inventory, and executing a flawless deployment.

The ideal partner needed to provide:

A flexible and nimble approach to adapt to Pokémon’s evolving needs
A robust fleet vehicle solution to support a nationwide network of kiosks.
Local warehousing capabilities across multiple regions, along with a national distribution hub capable of housing over $18 million in Pokémon product.

THE RESULT

Seamless Nationwide Rollout

T-ROC partnered with Pokémon to launch and manage over 800 kiosks across the U.S., with 1,500 to 2,000 kiosks expected to be operational in 2025. This rapid rollout was facilitated by T-ROC’s comprehensive logistics strategy, featuring a scalable fleet solution and effective inventory management through local warehouses and a centralized hub.

As a testament to T-ROC’s operational efficiency, Pokémon entrusted T-ROC with responsibility for seven additional legacy markets, recognizing their exceptional performance and value added to the program.

Operational Excellence in Merchandising

100% weekly execution rate of merchandising visits to all kiosks, ensuring consistent and timely product replenishment.

Controllable out of-stock levels held below 2%, significantly outperforming the industry standard and exceeding the 95% service level agreement (SLA).

99.85% kiosk uptime, showcasing T-ROC's proactive monitoring and maintenance efforts to keep kiosks operational and generating revenue.
