Belkin International, Inc. manufactures consumer electronics and networking equipment and accessories. Designed in Southern California and sold in more than 50 countries around the world, Belkin is a market leader in connectivity solutions.

THE REQUEST

Belkin approached T-ROC for a Brand Services pilot initiative to support 100 Verizon stores across the country. The goal, to increase awareness and improve product recommendation rates for Belkin screen protectors. The focus of the pilot program was to train Verizon sales associates on the newly introduced Belkin ScreenForce PRO Application System to apply screen protectors consistently, accurately, and quickly to select iPhone and Android devices.

THE RESULTS

T-ROC delivered big on the most important tracked metric: Belkin screen protector brand preference among Verizon sales associates.

In just over a year, brand preference increased from 30% to more than 70% — especially impressive in a crowded cell phone accessories market.

With its proven ability to influence the interactions between Verizon sales associates and their customers, Belkin has entrusted T-ROC with building brand advocacy for a second accessories line, its Charging Essentials, which includes wall chargers, car chargers, wireless charging pads, and charging cables.

THE T-ROC SOLUTION

To build brand advocacy and train sales associates, T-ROC Brand Ambassadors executed:

2x month visits to each Verizon pilot location (200 monthly visits)
Training on every aspect of the system: application, product specs, warranty & more

Timed challenges to bring fun and competition to every store visit

And that was just the beginning…

The program quickly expanded to 800 Verizon stores (1,600 monthly visits)
And in just six months, it expanded again to 1,000 Verizon stores (2,000 monthly visits)
